Formed in late 2012 by singer-songwriter Meghan VanKurin, Chantilly Whiskey has been busy performing covers of today's favorite country radio hits as well as fan-favorite originals at the local bars and festivals on Long Island. Just a few months after forming, the band earned the endorsement of local radio station My Country 96.1FM. So far in 2016, they released their debut EP, "From the Lakehouse"; were the first featured artist for WLINY's show, "Unsigned"; and were the preshow opener for Chris Stapleton/Brandy Clark at the Pennysaver Amphitheater, as well as crowned Rudi's & My Country 96.1's "Next Big Country Star" 2016, which led to a preshow spot for the Salute to Heroes/Big and Rich show. In past years they've also been the preshow opener for Little Big Town (2014), Dierks Bentley (2014), and Sam Hunt (2015).
Meghan, a proud member of NSAI and ASCAP, is constantly writing and working on developing new songs with band mates Doug Goerz, Erich Roelofsen, and Rich Tomanelli. The band is constantly pushing forward with their creativity, originality, and quality of their work. They look forward to sharing their passion with the world as they develop.
